The Film World

In the film world of today there is a prevailing dichotomy between the Art Film and Commercial Film. But a few decades ago there was no false division between the two. All were Art Films. It appeared to be an offshoot of healthy, lively and down-to-earth literature produced by the mighty minds of the old. Now commercial films are banking upon the meretricious and gimicky facades of life. They have nothing-to-do with the daily life of the teeming millions. So the main requirement of today is the broad-based convivial portrayal of life.
